The next generation Very Large Array (ngVLA):  New Radio Eyes on the Universe

Presented by DAS member Dr. Joe Pesce, this talk will explore the next generation Very Large Array (ngVLA), an interferometric array, under consideration as the United States’ new radio observatory for the 2030s and beyond.  We will discuss Interferometric radio observatory technology and techniques, what the ngVLA will be, and what we can expect from it.

This meeting will be held via Zoom, NOT in person at the Chamberlin

Designed to educate newer and less-experienced members about astronomy, these monthly events are usually held at DU’s Historic Chamberlin Observatory and hosted by experienced club members.

The event is finished.
