- Astrophotography Special Interest Group (ASIG) – General Meeting for DAS Members: 7:00 PM (more info).
- Look for the waxing Flower Moon near the Pleiades in Taurus in the western evening sky.
April 30:

- Look for the waxing crescent Flower Moon next to Elnath and near Jupiter in Taurus in the early evening sky. Elnath is a bright blue giant star that straddles the constellations Taurus and Auriga.
May 1:

- Standlely Lake Stargazing Virtual Program (Virtual Lecture) – 6PM (Zoom link).
May 2:

- Look for the waxing crescent Flower Moon next to Pollux and Castor in Gemini around 9:30 PM.
May 3:

- Look for the waxing crescent Flower Moon next to Mars in Gemini around 9:30 PM.
May 4:

- First Quarter Flower Moon: 7:51 AM.

You can keep track of the activity of meteor showers as well as those beyond the limits of visual observing by visiting the NASA Meteor Shower Portal.
- Anthelion (ANT): 1:00 AM local time in western Libra: 1 per hour.
- pi Puppids (PPU): 1st hour after dark in central Puppis: 1 per hour.
- eta Aquariids (ETA) q hour before dawn in western Aquarius: Less that 1 per hour. Peaking on May 4th.
